Following the death of a classmate prone to their bullying, a group of Notting Hill schoolkids hit the streets for a day of drinking, drug-taking, bad underage sex and crime...
Compared by critics to Larry Clark's Kids and even the Brazilian drama City Of God, Menhaj Huda's debut is a shocking portrayal of British youth.

This film is awsome. A really good film to come out of the UK Film Scene. Very gritty and realistic. Definatly worth a watch.

A supposed representation of 'modern society', representing all London kids as having a bad atitude and criminal intent. This is quite clearly an attempt to stir up controversy "look at today's teenagers, they're out of control!". The cinematic equivalent of The Sun newspaper. Unlikeable and unrealistic characters in a decaying and grim London.
UPDATE: In response to the reviewer who criticised my review - I never said London was a wonderland, can't stand the place, but this film is not a fair or realistic interpretation. I read words like 'gritty' and other clches...give me a break, this is nothing more than a hyped up, media induced 'crumbling society' film. Oh and by the way, try not to hang around dodgy areas like Peckham and you might be alright, perhaps you think you're one of the 'gangstas' represented in the film.
A great modern british film!
