This time it's war!

Louder, longer, even more brutal! Battle Royale 2 gets an extended version (with a new sobriquet) in a new, and very collectible double DVD tin set!

Three years after the events of the original Battle Royale, the survivor of the game, Shuya Nanahara, is now an internationally-known terrorist and, leading his group known as Wild Seven, is determined to bring down the government.

To counter this new threat, the government enacts the "New Century Terrorist Counter - Measure Alternative" program, (a.k.a. the Battle Royale II act), and sends the forty-two students of Shikanotoride Junior High Class 3-B to hunt Nanahara and his cohorts down in their island stronghold. Shiori Kitano, the daughter of the late headmaster of Nanahara's first Battle Royale, signs up for the program, to avenge her father. In order for the government to study the benefits of "teamwork", the new students are forced to work in pairs with their collars electronically linked so that if one of them is killed, the other dies as well. They must kill Nanahara in three days or die...

Director Kinji Fukasaku died during the making of the film and so it fell to his son Kenta to complete this apocalyptic vision, in the process turning it into an even bigger box-office smash than the original in Japan. Liberally soaked in black humour and satirical comments on current world affairs, the fight for survival is on!

This film like it predecessor pulls no punches, it has all the shock factor of the original just on a larger scale! Battle Royale 2: Revenge is a great buy; the film is faced paced and laced with dark humor. There is a slight political message combined with the film but it takes nothing away from the viewing pleasure. Great film that comes nicely in a striking steel tin case.

Customer rating: 2 out of 5 stars good but not great

some aspects of the film were god such as the tag triggers, but the film was a bad sequal imo the first 1 should not have had a sequal it kinda spoiled it for me personally i didnt see a great deal about this film personally not worth the price...

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Bloody good film.

Battle Royale is one of the best Asian Extreme Flicks to hit our shores. From face value you are shown the events of a class room of kids stuck on an island and told fight to the death.

The sequel doesnt let the first film down either. Following a simular plot, except with an added mix of terrorsium from some of the surviours of previous games makes this BR flick entertaining, thought proking and keeps you going till the end.

Added to that, this box set offers so much you cant miss this
