Pretty. Disappointing

When I heard 'A fever you can't sweat out' Panic! at the Disco were my favourite new band. Since then, they've dropped the apastrophe and have released a second, different but disappointing album. This album does have some good songs, which luckily for the band are the singles 'Nine in the Afternoon' and 'That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)' but some of the other songs on 'Pretty.Odd' such as 'Do You Know What I'm Seeing' and 'When the Day Met the Night' are boring to listen to, and sound like The Feeling, which is never good!
Rather Poor

The style of their music in their 2nd album is a light year away from the fantastic anthems of their début. The emo undertones gave the first album a brilliant edge, but as Brendon vowed to shed their band off all sounds of emo (to please critics) their second album has suffered.
With Brendon sharing vocals with another band member, most of the songs past track 10 become intolerable to listen to, if you're a fan of their old style.
I wouldn't whole-heartedly recommend this album to any older fans, but it might still provide a pleasing listen for new fans.
The name says it all

Not heard previous album, only the singles released which didnt really do it for me, but after hearing 9 in the afternoon and That Green Gentleman I had to have this album and it has not disappointed. It is a complete change from before which will obviously upset some people, but also make them new fans. They have apparently been influenced by the beatles and beach boys which is fairly obvious, I think it will be THE album of the summer (if we get one!) Great choruses to sing along to, songs to listen to while having a water fight, driving on summer evenings, chilling out with friends, sunbathing. (Sorry, having a summer montage in my head - its raining here) Buy it you'll enjoy it!
