John Mayer Where The Light Is captures the multi-Grammy Award winning, singer and songwriter in the element where fans love him the most: live on stage. The special concert includes three sets: an acoustic performance, a rare set with John Mayer Trio (John Mayer, Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino), as well as a set featuring Mayer's full-band, all recorded during the night of December 8, 2007 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. This will be the first new release since Continuum (9/06) and incorporates each of the elements that the five-time Grammy-winner is known for - acoustic songwriter, electric guitar slinger, bluesman, and vocalist.
The 22-song DVD features a one of a kind song list made up of the three distinct performances. Highlights include many of Mayer's biggest hits ('Waiting On The World To Change', 'Daughters', and 'Why Georgia'), new interpretations of cover songs ('Free Fallin', 'Bold As Love', and 'I Don't Need No Doctor') and a previously unreleased Mayer gem ('In Your Atmosphere').

Having seen John in concert this year in Birmingham I can tell you that his live show is an experience you will NEVER forget, however if you weren't lucky enough to see him this summer, this DVD is the next best thing, Showing everyside of John's musical personality, with an acoustic, trio and band(Continuum album) sets. Including some unrealesed material that is fantastic.
Put Simply, The Best DVD I've Bought all Year!!!

This is the DVD any John Mayer has been waiting for! Including songs from Continuum, the three sets that he performs (solo, John Mayer Trio, John Mayer Band) are amazing. Proving that he is the saviour of guitar-based blues and a true musical icon, John takes the cameras behind the scenes to give a sort of documentary about his life, and this includes footage of him actually being followed by an obsessed member of the paparazzi.
I can't recommend this DVD enough. Buy it!!

Yeah the CD and DVD are great but the blu ray which is soon to be released in the UK is gonna be the DVD to get. The concert in HD will just finish the whole thing off and make the blu ray a must have for anyone with a blu ray player.
