Printer works great but can't get the scanner working in Vista and I'm no computer muppet.
USB Cable

To people who give bad reviews about no USB cable being supplied:
All printer manufacturers do not include USB cables in any of their printers anymore (unless stated otherwise like a few high end Lexmark's) and have not done so for a few years now as 99% of people are replacing their printer and so they already have one. It also helps to keep the price of the machine down.
This is the same in all printers apart from wireless ones believe it or not, becuase they have a short cable supplied as it is needed during the set up of wireless printers.
Also, the supplied cartridges are almost always 'started cartridges' and are about 10% full compared to new ones.
Very Good Printer

Received it today two days after ordering it. Got this model because of the other good reviews about it, which have all proved to be correct. The image of the printer must have been updated by Play because mine looks identical to the photo shown above. The most important piece of advice I got from one of the other reviewers was that there is no USB cable with this printer - you get the power lead and two ink cartridges (PG-37 Black and CL-38 Colour) - nothing else. So when I ordered the printer I ordered a USB cable from Cablestar on Playtrade at the same time (USB 2.0 A - B / Printer Cable Lead) for £1.33 which arrived within 24 hours. Otherwise you will get it out of the box and be unable to connect it up to your computer, quite what Canon were thinking by not bundling a USB cable with this printer I don't know!
